DATE OF VISIT Early 2014
We managed to get a table in here for Saturday brunch, at this lively and busy café. After 10 o’clock you will probably have to either wait or share a table.
On our first visit we couldn’t wait and ended up at Sebastians (qv.) along the road.
Menus are on the table, but will be explained by either the host or one of the waitresses. The host is most attentive without being “in your face” and was very busy trying to seat new customers whilst also looking after the existing.
Coffees arrived just before the food, and meant both were enjoyed together. Excellent fresh flavours, generous portions (prices and menu options are more brunch than breakfast) and piping hot. Clearly good quality ingredients have been used here; the Eggs Royale and “The Fry Up” were calorific treats!
Great friendly, attentive service and a varied and interesting menu
OTHER NOTES pay on exit.
