Tamper (City Centre – Arundel Street)

DATE OF VISIT    Autumn 2014

Called in for Sunday (yes, Sunday- otherwise engaged this Saturday) brunch. Waited to be shown to our table; there is a seated waiting area as you enter.

After being seated, menus were brought to us after a short time, there is a wide range of teas and coffees available. A nice touch was a complimentary big bottle of cold water for the table. After a further short wait, our order was taken, and coffees followed shortly after. These weren’t the hottest or biggest coffees (the menu does give the cup size in ounces but difficult to visualise this), but were certainly full in flavour.

The food order was brought out not long after (cream cheese and smashed avocado bagel (her) and 4 cheese omelette (him)).Food was freshly cooked and hot, good, fresh beautifully seasoned and tasty ingredients. Not a belly buster though.

OTHER NOTES    Pay on exit, plenty of seating, lovely building with exposed steel beams and vaulted brick ceilings, expect a wait to be seated at peak times as this place seems to get quite busy.
