DATE OF VISIT Summer 2014
Looking for some much needed breakfast to cheer us up after the loss of our greyhound Maddy, we made our second attempt at eating at Xenophily on Ecclesall Road, again not open at the advertised time! Instead we headed up the road to this family-run newcomer.
Very thoughtfully decorated, we found a table, plenty of seating available as unfortunately we were the only customers (mid Saturday morning on the Bank Holiday) – hope it picks up for them. We ordered from the blackboard – not the standard fry-up menu here so we opted for very tasty toast with vegetarian toppings (sun dried tomatoes & cheese for him, avocadoes and fresh tomatoes for her!).
Coffees arrived shortly after ordering, strong and hot, with a small bottle of milk to accompany. Food followed soon after, freshly cooked, piping hot, and superbly tasty – if not the biggest portions.
OTHER NOTES Pay on leaving, clean and tidy, friendly staff.
