DATE OF VISIT Autumn 2014
We spotted this place and called in for breakfast.
It’s probably more of a sandwich take-away shop, so indoor seating is very limited; although it would have been warm enough to sit out on this particular day and there is room for a dozen or so diners outside. We ordered from the blackboard menus, simple traditional breakfasts, with a vegetarian option.
We got an indoor table in the end, and probably waited about 15 minutes for coffee and food, which arrived together.
Let’s get one thing straight, these probably aren’t breakfast ingredients of the highest quality, but were good honest “fry up” ingredients. At under £7 for two full breakfasts (one meat and one veg), including coffee and toast, no-one could argue about the value for money!
Staff worked hard to clear a backlog of orders, and were cheerfully going about their work.
Not sure who could have managed the belly buster extra large breakfast, as the portions were extremely generous anyway.
OTHER NOTES Order and pay at counter. TV on in background, coffees were quite weak, but that’s a minor and personal quibble.
