DATE OF VISIT    early 2014

COMMENTS

Hungry on a crisp Saturday morning, we found ourselves in the antiques quarter, and found a table straight away, in this treasure trove of a venue.

The menu is short and simple, written up on blackboards. We received a very friendly greeting, and our order was taken promptly, we were also offered a free sample of the soups so we could decide which to have!

Coffees were made straight away (with a complimentary chocolate), and free refills also!

Freshly cooked food arrived after a short wait, and was of excellent quality, and plentiful, with imaginative side salads and lots of fresh bread for the soup, nicely presented.

OTHER NOTES    Spotlessly clean. Order at counter, pay on leaving. Newspapers etc available to browse, some of the fixtures and fittings available to purchase!
