A sister to Millhouses café, although this one is usually quieter. Our order was taken at the counter, the menus are on the tables. Service arrived after a short time, although the coffees were served immediately while we were waiting, but were hot enough to last the meal.
We found the staff to be courteous, and quick with the service. There was a lot of food on the plates, all cooked to order, although on this occasion we felt the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were a bit too salty and overcooked – personal taste of course.
OTHER NOTES Pay on ordering, plenty of seating, some external seats also available, weather permitting, and handy for those with furry friends in tow. Cakes, hot drinks, ice creams etc. are also available for take-away.
